Due another one.......

But running out of strength, all due to the ebb and flow of the temperature in the office...sadly the warm open the windows, screwing up the crap air con, then the cold put the heating on full blast. No wonder office workers are so prone to coughs and sneezes.....Then I will have to endure some travel in Ken's toy set...if they are running today...so that's a few more bugs for the system. I wonder if I will be conscious tomorrow...Trouble is I've only had a day off in 3 or 4 years, (which would make me a crap local authority worker!) , just not used to being off work...bless!

Money for this....

I emailed over to a new journalist contact, some fun copy for their diary page...something that I did regularly for their predecessor......quite surprised to get a reply asking if I had been paid for previous submissions (no!). Got me thinking, either I could have made enough money to buy at least half a pint of shandy from all this activity (have you seen copy rates...and no its not £1 a word!) but then I wondered if the new journalist's predecessor was submitting accounts for money never paid...possibly not but may be there are a few Spanish practices that even Rupert Murdoch didn't quite trample on......The new Telegraph offices looks very impressive but I wonder how long before someone runs amock in the news room...its like an enormous goldfish tank, laden with CCTV...no doubt they are all being 'observed'...bit like the Mail!

It completely escapes me.......

How bloggers can write on a daily basis....the energy lost to the Nation must be immense...

I slept in the train this morning, as one does with Mozart blaring away in to Pod thingy, not sure what the guy in the next seat thought but I think he was more ABBA....and a novelty on the Tube, there was a guy in fleece embroidered with the slogan "Frank Skinner Live 1996" could this be real?

Anyway, I've been thinking if private equity is a good thing or ultimately a complete rip-off where the only winners are the unseen (American?) owners, who cause major commercial disruption, job losses and finally eject a highly geared business, disguised by a shinny but ultimately false balance sheet. I'm aware of all the arguments for both sides but I'm getting progressively uneasy as time moves on....Christ, what a topic for 8.00 in the morning....

I will be interested to see if the heavy hand of the Law finally rests on the shoulders of Blair, given his apparently unacceptable dealing in peerages......should make a good run up to Christmas......
